Articles of Association
Enable Children Thailand
§1 Name and Location
The association’s name is Enable Children Thailand.
The association is a non-profit, charitable organization based in Denmark.
§2 Purpose
The purpose of the association is to improve function, participation, and quality of life for
children with physical disabilities in Thailand through:
• rehabilitation and activity-based interventions
• adaptation and development of assistive devices
• training, knowledge sharing, and capacity building among parents and local professionals
• cooperation with local and international partners
The association’s work is based on occupational therapy practice, WHO’s ICF and CBR approaches, and principles of sustainability and local ownership.
§3 Activities
The purpose is achieved through:
• implementation of rehabilitation and pilot projects
• education, supervision, and competence development
• counseling and adaptation of assistive devices
• documentation, evaluation, and dissemination of experiences
• fundraising and partnerships supporting the association’s objectives
§4 Public Benefit
The association’s activities are charitable and benefit a broad group of people.
The association operates without profit, and any surplus is used exclusively to fulfill its purpose.
§5 Members
Membership is open to individuals who wish to support the association’s purpose.
The board establishes guidelines for membership.
§6 General Assembly
The General Assembly is the highest authority of the association.
An ordinary General Assembly is held once a year with at least 14 days’ notice.
The General Assembly approves:
• annual report
• financial statement
• election of the board
§7 Board
The association is managed by a board consisting of at least three members.
The board:
• holds overall strategic responsibility
• is responsible for finances and operations
• may establish working groups or appoint project managers
The board constitutes itself.
§8 Authority to Sign
The association is legally represented by the Chairman and one additional board member jointly.
§9 Finance and Accounts
The financial year follows the calendar year.
The association’s funds may only be used to fulfill its purpose.
No part of the association’s funds may benefit members, board members, or founders.
§10 Liability
Members are not personally liable for the association’s obligations.
§11 Amendments
Amendments to the Articles require approval by simple majority at the General Assembly.
§12 Dissolution
In the event of dissolution, remaining funds shall be transferred to another charitable organization
with a similar purpose, as decided by the General Assembly.
